Annual Grading and Championship Show


The Annual Trakehner Grading and Championship show takes place in the UK at the end of summer. Previously it has been held at Stoneleigh, Warwickshire College and Addington Manor E.C. This year it will be held at The College E.C. in Keysoe, Bedfordshire on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th September 2007.

Trakehners of all ages are shown in classes from foals to ridden horses. Mares are usually presented for grading at the age of three or four, or when they have their first foal at foot.

The young Trakehner stallions are presented over two days to the grading commission, who assess their potential and correctness. If approved they will be licenced to cover Trakehner mares, whose foals will then be eligible for the Trakehner brand providing that the stallion is able to complete and pass a performance test.
