2007 Performance Awards

Each year, Trakehners UK recognizes Trakehners in the competition world. Searching through performance records of Dressage, Showjumping and Eventing, we seek out those horses who are actively competing and select those with the highest winnings for Performance Awards.

Searching through British Dressage, British Show Jumping and British Eventing databases, looking for those horses known to be of Trakehner breeding, we try to recognize those horses making a name for themselves.

If you would like to have your horses considered in future years, please complete the nomination form which can be found in the documents section.

It is truly a pleasure to see this breed compete and we look forward to making awards in the future.

Never could Renault UK’s strapline “Everything is Sport” be truer than at the final of the 2007 Renault Jump series held at Royal Berkshire on Sunday 16th September.

“With not a seat left in the grandstands, spectators were standing six deep around the arena watching what turned out to be not only a fantastic showcase for the talent we have in the UK but also one of the most gripping finals we’ve seen in years.” (BSJA)

This wonderful mare not only proves the showjumping talent of the Trakehner breed, through her father Abdullah, World Champion, but the strength of Part-bred Breeding in Trakehners in the UK.

2007 has been a busy year for Jacky Stolper and Geisha. In February they won the Prix St Georges Freestyle Regional Championship at Kingston Maurward and then went on to win the Advanced Medium Freestyle Winter Championship for the second year running. This was the fourth year in which she has won at the Winter Championships, having won the Elementary Freestyle in 2004 and the Medium in 2005.In July Geisha was 5^th in her first International at Hartpury CDI. She followed that by winning the Intermediare 1 Regional Championship at Kingstone Maurward. She was 9^th in the Prix St Georges and 10^th in the Intermediare 1 at the Summer National Championships. Geisha is a nine year old state premium Trakehner mare by Enim Pascha out of Georgia. She was bought at the Trakehner sales in Germany as a three year old by her owner Pippa Prideaux. She is now working towards competing at Intermediare 2 early in 2008 and will hopefully compete in her first Grand Prix by the end of the year. Pippa said “Geisha is a delightful horse, she loves her work and always tries her best. She has a sweet and very trainable temperament and is living proof that chestnut mares are not all difficult. Jacky rides her beautifully and it is so exciting to watch their progress”
